Kermode bears (Ursus americanus kermodei), locally referred to in the Canadian Pacific coast as ghost bears, are a sacred figure in the legends of the native Kitasoo people. Elders pass on the legend that Wee'get the Creator, responsible for transforming a barren, frozen rock into a fertile garden, turned every 10th black bear white to remind the people of the Ice Age.
Printed on a natural white, 100% cotton paper that meets the most exacting requirements for age resistance. The heavyweight paper features a soft tactile textured, fine felt surface and is coated with matte inkjet coating.
